State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli issued a statement on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks:
"On September 11, New Yorkers come together to voice the sorrow and the anger that we still carry, to mourn the victims of the attacks, and to honor the courage and dedication of the first responders and citizen volunteers who rushed to the site to give all they had to give,” DiNapoli said. “We come together on this tragic anniversary, in New York and across the country, because we know we find comfort and strength by being united. We thank all those who put their lives on the line in a time of crisis. We will never forget their bravery, their dedication and their sacrifice.”
