Other Payment Rejections and Other Cost Recoveries
OSC rejected tax refunds and credits valued at nearly $5.2 million. Auditors also recovered nearly $247,000 from vendors owing debts to the state.
Cumulatively through June for calendar year 2022, the Comptroller’s office has approved 8,703 contracts valued at $26.3 billion and has approved more than 18.4 million payments worth nearly $96.7 billion. The office has rejected 688 contracts and related transactions valued at $3.7 billion and nearly 36,200 payments valued at more than $96.9 million primarily due to errors, improprieties or lack of documentation.
