Other Contract and Payment Rejections and Other Cost Recoveries
DiNapoli’s office rejected tax refunds and credits valued at more than $1.3 million. Auditors also recovered more than $177,600 from vendors owing debts to the state and held more than $166,400 in payments pending resolution of disputes between subcontractors and prime contractors.
Cumulatively through December for calendar year 2024, DiNapoli’s office approved 22,382 contracts valued at $311.4 billion and approved nearly 30.3 million payments worth more than $189.5 billion. The office rejected 2,932 contracts and related transactions valued at $27.5 billion and nearly 36,800 payments valued at nearly $170 million primarily due to errors, improprieties, or lack of documentation.
