Purpose

To explain the automatic dues and agency shop increase.

Affected Employees 

Employees in Bargaining Units T8, employees in Bargaining Unit AJ with a voluntary dues deduction code 274 and employees in Bargaining Unit GA with a voluntary dues deduction code 249

Effective Date

Paychecks dated 1/11/2001

OSC Actions

OSC will automatically increase the dues (274) and agency shop (290) for employees in Bargaining Unit T8 to $26.85. The voluntary dues deduction (274) for employees in Bargaining Unit AJ will be increased to $7.74 and the dues (249) for Bargaining Unit GA will be increased to $5.36.

Agency Actions

When entering codes 274 or 290 choose the calculation routine Flat Amount. Use the above increased rates when entering the amount in the Flat/Addl amount field. Continue to choose the calculation routine Default to Deduction Table when entering code 249. No dollar amount is required when the calculation routine Default to deduction table is used. Also, notify affected employees of this increase.
