Purpose

To notify CUNY agencies of a health insurance rate adjustment for certain CUNY employees.

CUNY employees who had a health insurance rate change in paychecks dated July 12, 2012

Background

The City University of New York Benefits Office has determined the health insurance rate change that went into effect in the paychecks dated July 12, 2012 should not have become effective until the paychecks dated July 26, 2012.

OSC Actions

Health insurance rate adjustments will be processed by OSC in paychecks dated August 9, 2012.

The attached chart identifies the health Insurance deduction codes and the amounts of the adjustments to be calculated.

Employees who had a health insurance deduction for the check date of July 12, 2012 for any of the listed deduction codes, are due an adjustment.

Attachment: Employees with deduction codes that show a negative adjustment will receive a refund for the amount indicated. Employees with deduction codes that show a positive adjustment will see an increase in their current payroll deduction by the amount indicated.
