Purpose: 

The purpose of this bulletin is to notify agencies of a dues structure change for hourly employees represented by DC37, Local 1597 in Bargaining Unit TU.

Affected Employees:

Hourly employees represented by DC37; Local 1597 in Bargaining Unit TU are affected.

Background:

Pursuant to a request from the City University of New York, University Human Resources Office of Labor Relations, it has been determined that a separate dues rate should be established for hourly members of DC37, Local 1597. The new dues rate is $15.00. 

Effective Dates:

Changes will be effective in paychecks dated July 25, 2024.

OSC Actions:

OSC will establish an hourly dues rate of $15.00, to be deducted from impacted employees’ paychecks using deduction code 248, which has been restructured to allow dues deductions for both full-time and hourly employees. 

Agency Actions:

Agencies must notify affected employees.
