Purpose:
The purpose of this bulletin is to notify agencies of an automatic dues increase.
Affected Employees:
Employees in management or confidential positions who are members of OMCE are affected.
Background:
The dues structure for OMCE (deduction code 209) is based on the employee’s current grade or equated grade. For non-graded employees whose positions are not equated to salary grades the dues amount is determined by their salary rate. If the salary is less than or equal to the hiring rate of grade 622 then the lower dues rate will be taken. If the salary is above the hiring rate of grade 622 then the higher dues rate will be taken.
Effective Dates:
Changes will be effective beginning with Administration paychecks dated July 3, 2024, and Institution paychecks dated July 11, 2024.
OSC Actions:
OSC will process dues deduction changes submitted by OMCE (deduction code 209) as follows:
