Chapter 45 of the Laws of 1998, which implements the Arbitration Award for the NYSPIA representing the Investigators and Senior Investigators (NU 62), provides for increases effective January 1, 1999.
These increases will be processed in Payroll Period 21C, (01069) checks dated January 20, 1999, 21L (01060), checks dated February 3, 1999.
Salary Increase and New Salary Schedule Effective January 1, 1999
Attachment (below) lists the new schedules.
Premium Overtime Increase for Senior Investigators Effective January 1, 1999
The Premium Overtime has been increased to $8,016 for Senior Investigators.
Clothing Allowance Effective January 1, 1999
The Clothing Allowance is $1,545.
Maintenance Allowance Effective January 1, 1999
The Maintenance Allowance is $425.
OSC will automatically apply the salary increase, premium overtime, clothing allowance and maintenance allowance increase to all active employees in the above negotiating unit. No listings will be produced of employees who receive the raise automatically.
The raise row will be inserted in the employee’s record after the agency cut off date for Period 20C/20L.
During the raise period, any transactions that need to be entered through the Job Data panels with an effective date prior to January 7, 1999, must be entered by OSC. Contact the Salary Determination Unit.
For Position or Salary transactions where the effective date of the transaction is the same as the raise effective date (1/7/99), check the employees Job Record. If there is a row already existing for that employee with a 1/7/99 date, the agency must sequence the transaction to the next effective sequence number and submit a salary that includes the new salary on the Job Action Request panel.
