Chapter 205 and 501 of the Laws of 1997, which implements the Arbitration Award for the PBA representing Non-Commissioned/Commissioned Officers (NU 17) and Troopers (NU 07), provide for increases effective January 1, 1999.

These increases will be processed in Payroll Period 21L, January 7-20, 1999, checks dated February 3, 1999.

OSC will automatically apply the salary increase, command pay increase and premium overtime for active employees in the above negotiating unit. No listings will be produced of employees who receive this raise automatically.

The raise row will be inserted in the employee’s record after the agency cut off date for Period 20L.

During the raise period, any transactions that need to be entered through the Job Data panels with an effective date prior to January 7, 1999, must be entered by OSC. Contact the Salary Determination Unit.

For Position or Salary transactions where the effective date of the transaction is the same as the raise effective date (1/7/99), check the employees Job Record. If there is a row already existing for that employee with a 1/7/99 date, the agency must sequence the transaction to the next effective sequence number and submit a salary that includes the new salary on the Job Action Request panel.
