To provide agency procedures for processing payments.
Affected Employees
CSEA employees in the Operational Services Unit (Bargaining Unit 03) in the Department of Transportation

Background
Chapter 10 of the Laws of 2008 implementing agreements between the State of New York and the Civil Service Employees Association provides for Call Out Bonus Pay for eligible employees.
The Winter Maintenance season is from November 1, 2010 to April 15, 2011.
Eligibility Requirements
Employees assigned to the Winter Maintenance Program of the Highway Maintenance Division and who were called out ten (10) or more times during the season will receive payments based on the following:

95% Calls | $500.00 |
Employees who were Active during the season but have been Inactive since March 31, 2011 also will be paid at this time.

Payments are to be processed on the Time Entry page as follows:
Earnings Begin Date: | 5/12/11 (for Active employees, or last date worked for Inactive employees) |

Payroll Register and Employee's Paycheck
The Earn Code COB and the amount will be displayed on the payroll register. The earnings description, Call Out Bonus, will appear on the employee’s paycheck stub.
There is no direct deposit for this payment.
Tax Information
The Call-Out Response Payment will be added to the employee’s taxable gross and is subject to income and employment taxes.
