Purpose of Review

The purpose of our review was to assess the Livonia Joint Fire District’s (District) progress, as of September 2024, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in September 2021. 

Background

The District is located in Town of Livonia and the Village of Livonia in Livingston County. An appointed five-member Board of Fire Commissioners is responsible for general management and control of financial operations. 

Results of Review

It appears that the District has made progress on implementing some corrective action. Of the five audit recommendations, two recommendations were fully implemented, two recommendations were partially implemented, and one recommendation was not implemented.
