Purpose of Review

The purpose of our review was to assess the District’s progress, as of July 31, 2013, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in September 2010.

Background

The Hudson City School District is located in Columbia County. The District is governed by the Board of Education which comprises seven elected members. The District’s 2012-13 budget was over $41.5 million.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the District has made limited progress in implementing the recommendations made in our audit report. Of the three audit recommendations, only one recommendation was implemented. Two recommendations were not implemented. By not implementing the recommendations in the report, the District is forgoing potential revenue.
