Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our audit was to review the District’s budgeting practices for the period July 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014.

Background

The Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District is located in the Village of Briarcliff Manor in Westchester County. The District, which is governed by an elected five-member Board of Education, operates three schools with approximately 1,500 students. Budgeted appropriations for the 2014-15 fiscal year were $49,335,000.
