Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our audit was to examine the District’s management of an ongoing project for the period July 1, 2014 through December 17, 2015.

Background

The Chenango Valley Central School District is located in the Towns of Chenango, Colesville, Dickinson, Fenton and Kirkwood in Broome County. The District, which operates three schools with approximately 1,600 students, is governed by an elected nine-member Board of Education. Budgeted appropriations for the 2015-16 fiscal year total approximately $34.7 million.

Key Finding

• District officials properly managed Phase I of the capital project, which involved constructing, renovating and improving all three school buildings and the bus garage.

Key Recommendation

• There were no recommendations as a result of this audit.
