Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our review was to assess the District’s progress, as of October 2022, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in June 2016. 

Background

The District serves the Towns of Addison, Cameron, Canisteo, Erwin, Lindley, Rathbone, Thurston, Troupsburg, Tuscarora and Woodhull in Steuben County. The District is governed by an elected seven-member Board of Education (Board), which is responsible for the general management and control of financial and educational affairs.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, the District has made limited progress implementing corrective action. Of the eight audit recommendations, six recommendations were not implemented and two recommendations were fully implemented.
