Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our review was to assess the Town’s progress, as of March 25 2015, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in September 2013.

Background

The Town of Fishkill is located in Dutchess County and has a population of approximately 22,100. The Town is governed by the Town Board, which comprises the Town Supervisor and four Board members. Budgeted appropriations for 2012 were approximately $13.5 million.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the Town has made some progress in implementing corrective action. Of the five audit recommendations, two recommendations were fully implemented, one recommendation was partially implemented and two recommendations were not implemented.
