Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our review was to assess the Town’s progress, as of February 2020, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in February 2015.

Background

The Town of Worth (Town) is located in Jefferson County and is governed by an elected five-member Town Board (Board), which is composed of four Board members and the Town Supervisor (Supervisor).

Results of Review

Our review focused on the 2018 and 2019 fiscal years, when the Town’s records and reports were maintained by the former Supervisor. Of the nine recommendations, two recommendations were partially implemented and seven recommendations were not implemented.
