Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our review was to assess the Town’s progress, as of October 2022, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in September 2021. 

Background

The Town, located in Albany County, is governed by an elected Town Board (Board) composed of four Board members and the Supervisor. The Board is responsible for the general oversight of all operations and finances.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the Town has made modest progress implementing corrective action. Of the 11 audit recommendations, one recommendation was implemented, two recommendations were not fully implemented, and eight recommendations were not implemented.
