Purpose of Review

The purpose of our review was to assess the Village’s progress, as of February 2013, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in August 2010.

Background

The Village of Victory is located in Saratoga County with a population of approximately 500. The Village is governed by the Board of Trustees which consists of two elected Trustees and the elected Mayor. The Village’s operating expenditures in the general fund for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2009, were approximately $397,000.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the Village has made limited progress in implementing our recommendations. Of the eight audit recommendations, two recommendations were implemented, four recommendations were partially implemented and two recommendations were not implemented.
