Purpose of Audit
The purpose of our review was to assess the Village’s progress, as of August 2019, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in October 2018.
Background
The Village of Ballston Spa is located in Saratoga County and has a population of approximately 5,375. The Village is governed by an elected Board of Trustees composed of a Mayor and four Trustees. Budgeted appropriations for 2018-19 totaled approximately $4 million.
Results of Review
Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the Village has made modest progress implementing corrective action. Of the 13 audit recommendations, two recommendations were implemented, seven recommendations were partially implemented and four recommendations were not implemented.
