If you’re nearing retirement, you may want to speak with one of our representatives to review your benefits and answer any questions you may have. NYSLRS offers three pre-retirement consultations to serve our members:
- Service Retirement — this 30-minute appointment is for members applying for a service retirement.
- Disability Retirement — this 60-minute appointment is for members applying for a disability retirement.
- Estimating Your Pension — this 30-minute appointment is for members planning to retire within five years and would like to estimate their pension.
Please note, most members can create their own pension estimate in minutes using Retirement Online. Your estimate will be based on the most up-to-date account information we have on file for you, and you can enter different retirement dates to see how those choices would affect your benefit. When you’re done, you can print your pension estimate or save it for future reference.
