Pension Payment Calendar

Retirement benefits are paid monthly.

If your benefit is paid by direct deposit:

You have access to your retirement benefit on the last business day of each month (indicated by a “D” on the schedule below.)

Retirement Online is the fastest way to update your direct deposit information, if you want your payment deposited into a different account or financial institution. Visit our Direct Deposit Program page for more information.

If your benefit is paid by check:

Your retirement benefit check will be mailed on the second-to-last business day of each month (indicated by an “M” on the schedule below).

If you haven’t received your check by the eighth of the following month, or if you received your check and it was lost or stolen, contact us. If you email us, be sure to include your daytime telephone number with area code so we can call you.

Our Direct Deposit Program enables you to receive your retirement benefits quickly and safely. If you still receive your payment by mail, we encourage you to sign up for direct deposit to avoid post office delays and to get faster access to your pension benefit.

2023 December

If you have direct deposit, your December pension payment will be deposited on December 29. For those who don’t have direct deposit, checks will be mailed on December 28.
