Purpose
An agreement between the State and the United University Professional Unit (NU 08) provides for a $428 lump sum payment Location Stipend to be processed in January 1999.
Payments will be processed in the regular check for full time NU 08 employees in Period 20L checks dated January 20,1999.
Affected Employees
Full time employees who were active on the payroll on December 31, 1998 and whose official work station was located in New York City or the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland or Westchester are eligible for payment.
OSC will automatically apply the $428 payment for active employees in NU 08 for the following campuses:

If an employee is ineligible for the payment, agencies must contact SUNY Systems at (518) 443-5192 to delete the Location Stipend row.
The earnings code LOS and amount will be displayed on the payroll register and check stub for the Location Stipend payment.
To pay an eligible employee the Location Stipend after Period 20L is processed, or to pay geographic full time employees (GFT) with a part time percentage who are actually working full time, use the earnings code LOS and enter through the Time Entry Panels.
