Purpose
To provide instructions to agencies for processing M/C payments
Affected Employees
SUNY M/C employees in Bargaining Units 13 and 40
Effective Date
The SUNY Board of Trustees resolution of May 31, 2000 provides for:
- an across-the-board discretionary increase effective April 1, 2001
AND - a discretionary increase effective July 1, 2001
Eligibility Requirements
Across-The-Board Discretionary Increase:
To be eligible for the April 1, 2001 increase, an employee in an eligible bargaining unit must be on the payroll March 31, 2001 and active at the time of payment, April 11, 2001. This increase in basic annual salary is not applicable to amounts that may be received for meritorious service.
Discretionary Increase:
To be eligible for the July 1, 2001 discretionary increase, an employee must be in an eligible bargaining unit at the time of payment, July 4, 2001.
Effective Dates
The across-the-board discretionary payment will be processed in Administrative pay period 1L, in the paycheck dated April 25, 2001. It is payable from the beginning of that pay period.
The discretionary increase is effective pay period 7L, payable from July 1, 2001, in the paycheck dated July 18, 2001.
Agency Responsibility
Each agency will be required to complete an M/C across-the-board discretionary salary increase roster in Employee ID order.
In addition, in preparation for the July 1, 2001 M/C discretionary increase, SUNY System Administration requests that each campus submit a separate discretionary increase roster at this time.
Rosters must be signed by the appropriate college President and forwarded to SUNY System Administration.
To process across-the-board discretionary increases in pay period 1L, agencies must enter a Job Action Request with the action of PAY RT CHG, Reason Code of CFS (COR FY SAL) and the effective date 03/29/01.
To process discretionary increases in pay period 7L, agencies must enter a Job Action Request with the action of PAY RT CHG, reason code SIC (SAL INCR) and the effective date 07/01/01.
