For PFRS Tier 2, 5 and 6 Members
(Section 381-b)

Full-Time Employment

If you join PFRS on the day you begin employment with a participating employer and work continuously on a full-time basis, your service credit equals the total time worked from your date of membership to the day you leave paid employment.

Part-Time Employment

For Tier 2, 5 and 6 members, one year of part-time employment is credited as the lesser of:

number of days reported* ÷ 260 days

or

annual earnings reported ÷ (State’s hourly minimum wage × 2,000)
