State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli supports the development and advancement of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) by providing them increased opportunities for procurements with our office.
New York State's SDVOB program allows eligible veteran business owners to become certified as SDVOBs, and aims to increase their participation in State contracts, with a goal of 6% of statewide agency discretionary spending. By law, State agencies must make good faith efforts to use SDVOBs in procurement.
The Office of the State Comptroller is committed to incorporating the use of SDVOBs in various procurement activities to promote greater inclusion of service-disabled veterans within New York State contracting.
Get Certified
To conduct business with the Comptroller’s Office as an SDVOB, you must be certified and listed on the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Directory.
The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) administers the SDVOB program and is responsible for certifying eligible SDVOBs and assisting and promoting their participation in the State's procurement activities.
