Background:
Pursuant to the 2011-2016 agreement and side letter between New York State and CSEA and the 2011-2015 agreement and side letter between New York State and PEF, employees whose assignment constitutes an exposure to inherent danger by virtue of unavoidable proximity to vehicular traffic within the highway rights-of-way are eligible for Special Assignment to Duty Pay.
Payment Amount/Eligibility:
Full time eligible employees who routinely work on Interstate Routes within New York State or any NYS highway routes or parkway systems at least 1/3 of the time actually worked in the previous calendar year are eligible to receive a $500 lump sum payment.
